Do you know what kind of Japanese culture has spread around the world in the 21st century?

One of them is "かわいい(Kawaii)", or cute, pretty.
Kawaii indicates Japanese Pop Culture for girls such as fashion or music.

I believe "きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅ(Kyarii Pamyu Pamyu)", which is a singer's name who wears unique costumes, is one of the most popular names representing Kawaii culture.
Her unique performances and fashion have caught the younger generation's attention, in particular. She became a smash hit even around the world, and actually her second album charted in the Electronic Album Chart in 23 countries and was number one in Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. American singer, Katy Perry, is a big fan of hers and she tweeted it on Twitter.

Now, Kawaii culture centering around Harajuku is known not only through Japan but all over the world.
A virtual word for entertainment "かわいい区(Kawaii Ward)" was produced in Fukuoka prefecture, and Gwen Stefani, who was a vocalist of No Doubt, released a song "HARAJUKU GIRLS".

Kawaii culture is known as a new culture from Japan which is becoming as popular as Sushi, Samurai, Ninja or Geisha.

Can you find any "Kawaii" around you?
